Over time in Romania have constructed a series of castles and fortresses used either as a royal residence or as points of defense against the various invasions of the Turks or the Tartars, but also other peoples. Some of these buildings have not kept others yes, some of which are in various stages of degradation are kept and operated other travel.

I tried to create a top 10 with regard to historic but not the tourist and how these castles and fortresses are maintained today. We believe that these are the most representative and we recommend you visit whenever you have the chance, but do not forget any of the other which appear in this ranking. Hopefully as time goes by and this city will be restored and will be much easier their visit.
